Sen. Dush Announces $1.45 million in Funding for 25th District Fire, Ambulance Companies

HARRISBURG – Sen. Cris Dush, R-25, announced more than $1.45 million will be awarded to more than 100 volunteer fire and ambulance companies throughout the 25th Senatorial District by a grant program administered by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

“Our first responders have been under tremendous pressure since the onset of COVID, but they have continued to provide the necessary emergency services to our communities,” said Sen. Dush. “These grants will provide some help for those who dedicate themselves to helping others.”

The Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program provides grants to improve and enhance firefighting, ambulance and rescue services capabilities of fire companies and emergency medical services throughout the Commonwealth. Grants may also be used to fund the purchase or repair of equipment, construction or renovation of facilities, debt reduction and training. The program is open to all fire and EMS companies, as well as volunteer rescue squads.
